With 12 months of successful exhibitions and a activities behind us we are looking to expand our membership.
Following on from our grant from Charles Sturt University we are excited to announce an additional $3,000 from the Orange Based "Sally Foundation" to continue our "Youth Mentoring Program" through 2018.
Canowindra Arts Inc has been successful in winning a grant to assist with mentoring and developing local youth who have shown particularly high talent for painting or drawing.
Initially we are focusing on the 2D art forms but as the program develops we will expand into other art forms such as Ceramics, Poetry and Writing
The program will be open to a limited number of local and near regional students from 12 to 16 years of age who show real enthusiasm and commitment to their art and developing it into to the next level.
We are pleased to announce the great support from the local Cornerstone Community in staging the Artful-Eight Art Exhibition..
There are many facets of holding community events, many actions need money to implement and money is a resource new groups like ours struggle with. However when community groups work together we can minimise the cost or even eliminate costs without compromising the result..
So big thanks to Cornerstone Community Canowindra for their assistance..

While the new Canowindra Arts Group was only formed a few months back we are seeing increasing interest by local artists and art lovers.
